A method for measuring a beating frequency n value of a standard penetration test using a current measurement value of a drive motor and an apparatus for measuring the n value are provided to reduce the costs and the period of construction by accurately measuring a result value of the standard penetration test. A method for measuring a beating frequency n value on a standard penetration test using a current measurement value of a drive motor includes the steps of measuring the electric current value spent during driving the drive motor to rotate an inner rod or a casing of an auger device, measuring the depth excavated by the inner rod or the casing, calculating the beating frequency n value on the standard penetration test and the supporting intensity of the ground during excavating using the electric current value and the excavated depth, and outputting the supporting intensity of the ground or the beating frequency n value using a display device.
