FIELD: environmental protection; methods and devices of neutralization of the sulfur dioxides in the flue gases. ^ SUBSTANCE: the invention is intended for the protection of the natural environment. The moisture from the flue gases formed at the fuel burning is condensed in the device of the qualitative change of flue gases composition (DQCG). At the same place and time the produced suspension consisting of the condensate, small amounts of the sulfurous anhydride, the sulfurous and sulfuric acids, the slaked lime, the silt and the flue gases, is cleaned from calcium sulfate and calcium sulfite. Further the suspension is in turn fed by the pump (8) and the automatic devices (9) into two tanks-settlers (10) and (10'). Through the screen (18) additionally batch the slaked lime. The suspension is divided into the condensate and the solid components in the settlers (20) and (20'). The condensate is heated up to the dew-point temperature and fed into the container of degassing (23). The slime is removed by the pump (15) into the slime dump (1). DQCG consists of two tube plates. The inlet and outlet manifolds (4), (4') are welded to them for support of three-way movement of the water cooling the vapors of the moisture of the flue gases. The metal sheets are welded to the adjacent butts of the tube plates to arrange the movement of the gasses across the tubes. In the upper part of the DQCG there is the fixed diffuser (2) of the inlet of the gases, in which there are the fixed device of the slaked lime feeding control (3 ') and the pump (3). In the lower part there is the fixed U-shaped gas manifold (6), the condensate collector (5) with the settler (17) for collection of the fly ash, chips of the calcium sulfate and sulfite, the detachable vertical fitting pipe (6') with the drippings-catcher (7).
