A method and a device for supporting device information of a combo device in the UPnP network are provided to structure state information of a controlled device included in the combo device to be properly processed in the device connected in the same network and enable the device to use the structured state information. A receiver receives a bookmark request of contents transmitted to one of the devices to play the bookmarked contents. A state information obtainer obtains the state information from the device. A bookmark generator generates the state information and a bookmark including source information of the state information. The source information of the state information obtained from the first device among the devices is permanent information not exposed to the network and has the same structure as the source information assigned to the second device, not the first device. The source information includes a UDN(Unique Device Number), a service ID, and a service type.
