<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication system capable of expanding a dynamic range with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The optical communication system consists of a transmitter 1 having a light emitter 2 for converting an electric signal into an optical signal, and inputting the converted signal into an optical fiber 3; and a receiver 5 having a light receiver 4 for converting the optical signal transmitted via the optical fiber 3 into an electric signal. In this system, the transmitter 1 is connected to the receiver 5 via the optical fiber 3. The light emitter 2 includes a plurality of light-emitting elements 6 for transmission having the same light-emitting characteristics; and the transmitter 1 is provided with a driving circuit 10 having the plurality of light-emitting elements 6 for transmission connected in parallel, and supplying the electric signal to drive the system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
