PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a volatile organic halogenated compound processing method for efficiently removing a volatile halogenated compound by using processing equipment whose cost is low. SOLUTION: The volatile organic halogenated compound processing method includes: making active carbon carrying metal micropowder absorb a volatile organic halogenated compound and then dehalogenating it by irradiating it with microwaves. Colloidal iron powder is used as the metal micropowder and the one in a honeycomb structure or a macaroni-like structure is used as the active carbon. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
