OBJECT: To provide cosmetics comprising a silicone polymer that adheres well to the skin or hair and does not irritate the skin. MEANS TO SOLVE PROBLEMS: A cosmetic comprising (A) a polymer having repeating units represented by the following formula (I) and repeating units represented by the following formula (II) wherein each R<SUP>1 </SUP>may be the same with or different from each other and is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, each of X<SUP>1 </SUP>and X<SUP>2 </SUP>is a divalent aromatic group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms or a group represented by the formula, -COOR<SUP>7</SUP>-, wherein R<SUP>7 </SUP>is an aliphatic-group bonded to A or B, A is an organopolysiloxane residue, and B is a group represented by the following formula (1), wherein each R<SUP>3 </SUP>may be the same or different from each other and is an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms and d is an integer of from 1 to 10.
