<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact IC card which avoids the collision of response signals by a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: In a recognition system for a non-contact IC card, the non-contact IC card transmits a response signal in a time slot 1 immediately for first polling from a reader/writer and transmits a response signal in one slot selected irregularly from among the prescribed number of time slots for second and following polling from the reader/writer. The reader/writer waits for the return of the response signal from the non-contact IC card in the time slot 1 when first polling is executed, and waits for the return of the response signal from the non-contact IC card in the predetermined number of time slots after second and following polling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
