<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable miniaturization and weight saving, improve reliability and provide high muffling effect by accelerating conversion of "sound to heat" by thermoacoustic effect in an exhaust muffling device reducing exhaust noise of an engine. <P>SOLUTION: A heat absorbing body 15 including a plurality of exhaust gas passages 16 passing through in a direction of exhaust gas flowing therein and a heat pipe 22 supporting a heat absorbing part on the heat absorbing body 15 are provided in a muffling case 2 connected to an exhaust pipe. A heat radiation part 22B of the heat pipe 22 is exposed to an outside of the muffling case 2, and heat of exhaust gas absorbed by the heat absorbing part 22A of the heat pipe 22 is radiated to an outside from the heat radiation part 22B of the heat pipe 22 via the heat absorbing body 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
