PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound useful as an anti-virus therapeutic agent having excellent anti-virus characteristics and to provide a drug comprising the compound. SOLUTION: The compound of a new pyrimidine nucleoside derivative is represented by formula (1) [wherein, R represents a nitrogen-containing heterocycle which may have either one of a 1-3C alkyl group or a 1-3C alkoxy group as a substituent or a 1-6C alkyl group having one primary amino group as a substituent] and a salt thereof.
