PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound for protecting in treatment skeletal muscles against damage resulting from external injuries. SOLUTION: The new compound of the general formula(I) and a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof are provided, being useful for preserving donor tissue and organs used in transplants, and in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases including atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, Prinzmetal's (variant) angina, stable angina, and exercise-induced angina, congestive heart disease, and myocardial infarction.
