The shot-peening chamber for ultrasonic shot peening of components, especially gas turbine components, has a facility wherein for changing the geometry of the chamber at least one wall section (26,36,48) is adjustable. The wall section is adjustable by means of inflation or filling with gas. The chamber wall is designed from a flexibly compliant material, especially a rubber material. The chamber wall (12) has at least one opening (18) for entry of the region (20) of the component (10) with the surface to be processed, wherein the wall section (48) adjacent to the opening is adjustable.
