PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a point device of an astride-type monorail. SOLUTION: A first point 100 has a main shaft 110 mounted on a side of a first switch girder, and a cylindrical roller 130 rotatably mounted at an eccentric position by the intermediary of an arm 120 or the like mounted to the main shaft 110. The distance between the center of the main shaft 110 and a center of the cylindrical roller 130 is L<SB>1</SB>. The main shaft 110 is driven in a direction of an arrow R<SB>1</SB>(clockwise) on a plane. When the rotational angle of the arm 120 becomes 90 degrees, the main shaft 110 moves laterally from the initial position (a center line CL) by the distance L<SB>1</SB>as shown in (c) of Fig. 3.
