PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hipped roof truss method for building capable of permitting easy connection of steel members forming a roof truss without using steel welding on the job site; decreasing a cost for shipping steel members to the job site by eliminating protruded portions from the steel members; and eliminating the danger of the occurrence of a fire on the job site by eliminating the welding on the job site. SOLUTION: H-section steel is used respectively for wall girders 1, a horizontal ridge board 2 and hipped principal rafters 3. C-section steel is used for rafters 4 and purlins 5. After laying the wall girders 1 and ridge boards 2 on a structural body of building, the connections between the end portions of the ridge board 2 and upper ends of the hipped principal rafters 3 and the connections between lower ends of the hipped principal rafters 3 and the wall girder 1 are respectively made by using upper connecting metal fittings 11, lower connecting metal fittings 13 and bolts and nuts. Connection metal fittings each being fixed with a plate to an upper plate of a screw axis are respectively used for connecting rafters 4 to the wall girders 1 and ridge boards 2 and also for connecting the purlins 5 to the hipped principal rafters 3 and principal rafters 4.
