PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast recording apparatus which enables a user to view a program without being interrupted by CM (Commercial Message) and to more simply and surely view the CM. SOLUTION: The broadcast recording apparatus 2 connected to a server is provided with an antenna 4 for receiving broadcast data, and a CPU 11, which is provided with: a video recording program 13C for allowing an HDD 6 to store the broadcast data in cross-reference with time information; a broadcast result acquisition program 13E for allowing a broadcast result data file 13B to store program data and broadcast result data being the time of broadcast CM data stored in the server in a lapse of a prescribed time after starting storage of the broadcast data; and an edit program 13H that compares the time information of the broadcast result data with the time information of the broadcast data stored in the HDD 6 to recognize the program data and the CM data included in the broadcast data stored in the HDD 6, attaches a forced reproduction flag to the recognized CM data, and shifts all the recognized CM data earlier than the recognized program data.
