PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a reactive silicon group-containing curable resin easily industrially producible, excellent in adhesion to several substrates, giving cured products having excellent physical properties and excellent in workability, and to provide cured resins prepared by the production method. SOLUTION: The production method of a curable resin comprises the following steps (X) to (Z) serially, and the curable resin is prepared by the production method. Step (X): a step for obtaining a urethane prepolymer composition (PC) by reacting a polyisocyanate compound (B) with a polyol compound (A) so that the NCO/OH equivalent ratio is≥5. Step (Y): a step for obtaining a purified urethane prepolymer (C) by removing unreacted polyisocyanate compound (B) from the urethane prepolymer composition (PC). And step (Z): a step for obtaining the reactive silicon group-containing curable resin by reacting the purified urethane prepolymer (C) with a compound (D) having the reactive silicon group and active hydrogen.
