<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably attain magnetic characteristics equal to that of a conventional hexagonal M-type ferrite magnetic material containing Sr, La and Co even when the content of Co is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The ferrite magnetic material consisting essentially of ferrite having a hexagonal structure and containing Sr, La, R, Fe and Co as structural elements wherein the total structural ratio of each of Sr, La, R, Fe and Co is expressed by a composition formula, Sr<SB>1-(x+m)</SB>La<SB>x</SB>R<SB>m</SB>Fe<SB>(12-y)z</SB>Co<SB>y</SB>, and Al component is contained by 0.03-0.6 wt.% expressed in terms of Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>per the main component expressed by the formula. In the composition formula, R is one or two kinds of Pr and Nd and (m), (x), (y) and (z) are respectively 0<m≤0.10, 0.07≤x≤0.20, 0.07≤y≤0.12 and 0.90<z<1.10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
