PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a response waveform synthesis method capable of determining a response waveform which is not discontinuous based on a frequency characteristic determined by dividing into a plurality of partial bands, and an acoustic design support device. SOLUTION: A response waveform is determined by using the frequency characteristic determined relative to each of a plurality of analysis bands acquired by dividing the frequency band of an audible sound, which is the frequency characteristic determined by a finer frequency resolution in proportion to the lowness of the frequency of the analysis band. A synthetic band is set in each of one or a plurality of analysis bands, and a response waveform of a time base is determined in each synthetic band, and each response waveform of the synthetic bands is added, to thereby acquire a flat response waveform in the whole frequency band of the audible sound.
