PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade mounting device capable of mounting a blade without operating it to rotate an operation sleeve though it is troublesome to operate a conventional blade mounting device as it is necessary to operate to rotate the operation sleeve in mounting the blade. SOLUTION: This blade mounting device of a reciprocating cutting tool is constituted and furnished with the operation sleeve 11 provided on a head end of a rod 2 free to rotate, a torsion spring 12 to rotationally energize the operation sleeve 11 in the clamping direction, a regulating member 20 to regulate rotation of the operation sleeve 11 in the clamping direction against the torsion spring and to allow rotation of the operation sleeve in the clamping direction when it is pushed by the blade 3 inserted into a slit 2a and a clamp pin 18 to clamp the blade 3 impossible to be detached from the slit 2a when the operation sleeve 11 rotates in the clamping direction.
