PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finite element analysis device, a finite element analysis method and a computer program for achieving grid generation for stably obtaining convergence solutions even in electromagnetic field analysis as the object of discretization with side elements. SOLUTION: Grids configuring finite elements are analyzed by side element units by using a multi-grid method. A shape model as the object of analysis is accepted, and the nodes of the grid of the most significant hierarchy of the accepted shape model is generated based on a predetermined rule, and the significance of the node is calculated based on geometrical information relating to the nodes and the sides connecting the nodes. The node whose calculated significance is larger than a predetermined value is selected as a node in generating the grids of the low order hierarchy, and the grids of the low order hierarchy are generated by using the selected node. The above mentioned processing is repeated until the generation of the grids is completed, and when it is determined that the generation of the grids is completed, an operator between the grid layers is estimated, and the solutions are calculated.
