PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of reducing load of operation for tuning a program which a user wants to watch. SOLUTION: In the broadcast receiver, a broadcast receiver body 1 is provided with a light-emission schedule data creator 12 for creating light-emission schedule data indicating light-emitting patterns of a light-emitting means, on the basis of a broadcast time of each of programs to be acquired from EPG data and program genre information; and a transmitter 13 for transmitting the created light-transmission schedule data to a remote controller 2. The remote controller 2 is provided with a light-emitting means capable of emitting a light for each of a plurality of channel buttons with a plurality of kinds of light-emitting patterns; a receiver 24 for receiving the light-emission schedule data transmitted from the transmitter 13; and a light-emission scheduler 23 for controlling the light-emitting pattern of the light-emitting means in each of the channel buttons, on the basis of the received light-emission schedule data.
