摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the wear in a contact part of an inside roller and leg shaft in a roller mechanism. SOLUTION: The tripod type constant velocity universal joint is equipped with an outer joint member 10 having three axial track grooves 12 in the inner peripheral portion thereof and axial roller guide surfaces 14 respectively formed on both sides of respective track grooves 12, with a tripod member 20 having three leg shafts 22 protruding in a radial direction and with roller mechanisms 37 which is mounted on respective leg shafts 22 of the tripod member 20 and which is freely oscillatable with respect to the leg shaft 22. The roller mechanism 37 is composed of an outer roller 34 guided in parallel with an axial line of the outer joint member 10 along the roller guide surface 14 and an inner roller 32 which is externally fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the leg shaft 22 and which rotatably supports the outer roller 34 through the medium of a plurality of needle-like rollers 36.
