PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of increasing life of a rope while preventing reduction of friction coefficient by influence of a foreign matter. SOLUTION: In the elevator device provided with a car 2 connected to one end of the rope 1 covered with a resin; a counter weight 3 connected to the other end of the rope 1; a sheave 4 wound with the rope 1 on a rope groove; and an electric motor 5 for rotating/driving the sheave 4, the sheave 4 is made of metal, a surface of the rope groove is subjected to shot peening treatment, and an oil feeding device 12 for feeding oil is provided in the rope groove.
