<p>A two-piece clamping element (10, 20) comprises two separate opposing first and second clamping jaws (12, 13) forming a laterally open cavity (11) to receive a rod-shaped element. Each clamping jaw (12, 13) has a bore aligned with one another to receive a screw, wherein a pivot bearing (17) is arranged opposite said cavity (11) allowing the two opposing clamping jaws (12, 13) to come in contact to one another.
