METHOD FOR SETTING PRESET INFORMATION IN DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER

A method for setting preset information in a digital video recorder is provided to selectively set a desired principal surveillance area to preset information while a user views the entire of a surveillance area at a glance. Pan/tilt angles and horizontal/vertical angles of view are checked to compute pan/tilt control angles for partial photographing of a surveillance camera. Partial images photographed by the surveillance camera are received and temporarily stored while pan/tilt operations are sequentially controlled by using the computed pan/tilt control angles(S13). The temporarily stored partial images are coupled to display one image(S15). An area selected and designated by a user is checked to set pan/tilt angles corresponding to the area to preset information(S16).
