PURPOSE:To obtain a cuckoo clock which has the large forward and backward movement stroke of a cuckoo body by providing a swivel lever which engages a cuckoo-body backward moving cam and swivels to move back the cuckoo body and a locking means which locks and unlocks the swivel lever timing to time casting and its completion. CONSTITUTION:One terminal of the swivel lever 16 is fixed to a slider 5 which is slidable along a guide rail 4. The cuckoo-body backward moving cam 19 which is rotated by a motor M1 operating during time casing engages the L- shaped arm 17 of the swivel lever 16, which swivels clockwise. The electromagnet type locking device consisting of a rotating body 35, permanent magnet 36, coil 38, locking pawl 41, etc., operates in the time casting to lock its pawl 41 to a lock arm 34 provided to the swivel lever 16, which is held at a swivel position. When the lever 16 swivels, the slider 5 moves forth along the rail 4 to open a door 3 through a link 7, and the cuckoo body 11 hops out with the door 3 open. |
