摘要 A novel Paenibacillus sp. HY-8 strain and xylanase isolated from the same strain are provided to increase efficiency of fodder by decomposing cellulose in various plant fodder raw materials, so that the microorganism is useful as a fodder additive. The Paenibacillus sp. HY-8 strain(KCTC 10896BP) producing xylanase is isolated from insects. The xylanase is isolated from Paenibacillus sp. HY-8 strain(KCTC 10896BP), has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:5, and shows optimum activity at 45-60 deg.C and pH 6.0-6.5, and increased activity by addition of Ca, Zn, K, Mg, Na or Co. A gene encoding the xylanase has the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:4. A method for producing the xylanase comprises the steps of: (1) culturing Paenibacillus sp. HY-8 strain(KCTC 10896BP) or a microorganism transformed with a recombinant vector containing the xylanase gene, and centrifuging the cultured medium to obtain the supernatant containing coenzyme solution; (2) adding a precipitating agent into the coenzyme solution to induce precipitation of water-soluble proteins; and (3) centrifuging and purifying the precipitation-induced coenzyme solution, wherein the precipitating agent is ammonium sulfate, acetone, isopropanol, methanol, ethanol or polyethyleneglycol.
