An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to prevent bright line phenomenon and light leakage phenomenon, by forming a bright line preventing member of an opaque material at a region where a light guiding plate is attached by an adhesive agent. An LCD panel(130) has liquid crystal cells arranged in a matrix type. At least one optical sheet(123) is positioned below the LCD panel. A light guiding plate(122) is positioned below the optical sheet. A reflecting plate(121) is positioned below the light guiding plate. A support main(110) supports the LCD panel, the optical sheet, the light guiding plate, and the reflecting plate. A bright line preventing member(170) is formed at one end portion of the light guiding plate. An adhesive agent(160) holds the bright line preventing member and the support main.
