A method for cleaning a laundry tub of a washing machine is provided to reduce the washing time of the laundry tub by rotating water in a state of be clung to an inner wall of the laundry tub according to the rotation of the laundry tub. A method for cleaning a laundry tub of a washing machine includes the steps of: inputting a tub washing material to an inside of the laundry tub and selecting a laundry tub washing course through a control unit(S100); supplying water to the laundry tub(S110); performing a laundry mode with reversely rotating a laundry plate from side to side by controlling a drive transmitting unit(S120); draining the water to reach the water at a second set water level(S130) by operating a draining unit; performing a dehydration mode with rotating the laundry plate and the laundry tub together by controlling the drive transmitting unit(S140); operating the draining unit during the predetermined time to discharge deposits into an outside with the water mixed with the tub washing material together(S150); re-supplying the water by controlling a supplying unit to cleanse the remaining deposits or the remaining tub washing material stuck on the laundry tub(S160); performing a rinsing step with rotating the laundry tub and the laundry plate(S170); operating the draining unit during the predetermined time to discharge the remaining deposits or the remaining tub washing material into an outside with the water together(S180); and performing a dehydration step to remove moisture remaining in the laundry tub(S190). |
