FIELD: sugar industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves dividing basic syrup having color degree exceeding 40 standard units into two parts; mixing one part of syrup with yellow sugar melt and affinated raw third sugar; feeding prepared mixture for boiling out of first fillmass; centrifuging the latter; separating and drying crystals for obtaining of ready sand sugar; directing second part of syrup for boiling out of second fillmass; preparing remelt sugar from yellow sugar melt and affination raw third fillmass sugar; directing remelt sugar for mixing with said part of syrup. Method allows sand sugar of standard quality to be produced from syrup having color degree exceeding 40 standard units on processing of low-quality beet. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency of method and improved quality of sand sugar. ^ 2 ex
