A clothes dryer and a control method thereof are provided to prevent unnecessary energy and dry time caused by re-driving the clothes dryer for wet clothes after a dry process is completed. A control method of a clothes dryer includes the steps of: selecting a wanted dry condition through an input part by a user(S1); detecting clothes inside of a drum by a sensor(S2); measuring resistance generated between electrodes of the humidity sensor several times(S3); transmitting the resistances to a controller and calculating a average of the resistances(S4); performing a dry process during a predetermined time if the average is more than a certain value(S5); performing the dry process according to the dry conditions programed for each average if the average is less than the certain value(S6); and completing the dry process in the predetermined time(S7). |
