The method involves welding two metal frames (6, 7) to a profile section (3), and arranging an air duct (5) in the profile section. The frames are welded with each other and a nozzle lance (10) is inserted into the section. A synthetic material is applied on the frames from inwards, where the material forms the walls of the air duct. The lance is inserted by a locking plate arranged on the front of the section. Air inlet (8) and outlet (9) are formed after applying the synthetic material. The material is foamed in the interior of the section. An independent claim is also included for an instrument carrier.
