An optical apparatus is provided to improve brightness of the optical apparatus by using a blue transmitting dichroic mirror and a red transmitting dichroic mirror, enhance color purity and color reproducibility and remove noise. An optical apparatus includes red, green and blue LEDs(Light Emitting diodes), a first mirror(14), a second mirror, and an integrator(15). The first mirror has transmissivity in a first wavelength region, and the second mirror has transmissivity in a second wavelength region. Light beams emitted from the LEDs transmit the first and second mirrors or are reflected from the first and second mirrors and converge on the integrator. The first and second mirrors reflect light emitted from the green LED.
