<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper limb protector which can surely protect an upper limb even though a person or a subject collides with a protecting plate and which hardly gives psychological oppressive feeling to a patient. <P>SOLUTION: The upper limb protector A is constituted by integrally forming a vertical portion 11, a curved portion 12 bending inward and extending upward, a protecting plate 1 having a horizontal portion 13 bent at a right angle, and a holding plate 2 extending from the inner wall face of the vertical portion 11 in a direction of a surgical table 3, and is used by inserting the holding plate 2 between a mat lower face 34 where the upper limb 33 of the patient 32 is located and a table upper face 35 and fitting the U-shaped part under the holding plate 2 on a side rail 36.
