PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology whereby consecutiveness of received voice data is maintained even when a receiver side reaches an underflow state or an overflow state so as to achieve a complete free run state (asynchronous state) between a transmitter side and the receiver side. SOLUTION: In an asynchronous digital wireless communication method wherein the transmitter includes digital voice data to a packet with a prescribed time length and transmits repetitively the data in the unit of the packet, the receiver 200 stores once the voice data to a memory 213 and gives the data to a D/A converter 215 to obtain a drive signal for a voice reproducing unit, the receiver 200 includes a control means 220 that monitors a data storage state of the memory 213, slows down a reception processing time Tr by a prescribed time when the memory 213 reaches an underflow state, and quickens the reception processing time Tr by a prescribed time when the memory 213 reaches an overflow state, wherein the Tr is the reception processing time per one packet at the receiver 200.
