PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmitter capable of efficiently executing transmission to a plurality of destinations whose protocol differs from each other. SOLUTION: A determining means 11a determines a transmission order for a plurality of destinations awaiting transmission on the basis of a prescribed priority relative to kinds of protocols used for the transmission, and a transmission control means 11b executes transmission processing applied to the destinations awaiting the transmission according to the order determined by the determining means 11a. For example, when destinations with IP-FAX, SIP-FAX, and G3-FAX are intermingled as the destinations awaiting the transmission, the transmitting apparatus executes the transmission processing in the order of the destinations using the IP-FAX, SIP-FAX, and G3-FAX so as to attain efficient transmission.
