PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a playlist preparation device and a playlist preparation method which enable a preparer to specify a reproduction order and enable a playlist in which a reproduction order intended by the preparer is reflected to be prepared. SOLUTION: A content table of which the data files are recorded in a data file recording part 121 is displayed on a display part 13, an operation part 14 receives content selection input selecting content to be recorded in the playlist from the content table and a reproduction order specifying input specifying a reproduction order of the selected content, a data management part 16 prepares the playlist in which the content selected by the content selection input is recorded and the reproduction order specified by the reproduction order specifying input is described as reproduction order specifying information.
