PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external facing structure capable of preventing the uplift movement of the end section of an external facing by holding down a part overlapping the end section in the flowing direction of the external facing and obtaining a connection excellent in architectural designability and flashing. SOLUTION: The external facing structure is so characterized that a vertical roofing external facing 1 having a front plate 11 and a rising section 12 providing a molding section 13 to at least a side edge is made to hold on a retaining member 2 mounted to a substrate 4 and, at the same time, the end sections (14 and 15) of both external facings adjacent to the flowing direction are made to overlap with each other to connect and that a pressure section 53 formed in a horizontal member 5 can pressure the overlap sections 14 and 15 from the above by clamping the horizontal member 5 placed across over at least two crest sections (a) formed in a construction state of the external facing 1.
