PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of saving memory space. SOLUTION: In an image processing apparatus 1, interpolation operations are performed with an LUT 304a to obtain CMY image data corresponding to input RGB image data. The image processing apparatus 1 includes: a color gamut selecting section 306 for selecting a color gamut corresponding to an inputted image, from an RGB color space, based on input RGB image data; an LUT writing section 307 for changing CMY image data in the LUT 304a to CMY image data corresponding to grid points contained in the selected color gamut; and a position information changing section 308 for writing position information in a memory 304, wherein the position information indicates RGB color space positions of the grid points contained in the selected color gamut.
