<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a cover body for an air-tight sleeve to open automatically in an air-tight writing instrument which achieves air-tightness by providing the air-tight sleeve at the writing edge of a writing element. <P>SOLUTION: The writing edge (6) of the writing element (2) is surrounded by the air-tight sleeve (7) movable in the front and back direction, and the cover (11) is installed at its opening part (8). A pressing rib (22) provided on the rear surface of the cover (11) pressurizes the cover (11) on to the opening part (8) in contact with the sliding surface (23) of the main body (1) when the air-tight sleeve (7) retreats. A stopper (28) is present on the passage of the pressing rib (22) when the air-tight sleeve (7) advances, and the cover (11) pivots in its opening direction to open the opening part when the pressing rib (22) touches the stopper (28). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
