PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit which can output a voltage without largely dropping the output voltage even in a phase where an input voltage becomes 0V or reaches its vicinity, in the case of generating a DC voltage by inputting the voltage after the rectification of AC power directly into a switching power circuit without smoothing it. SOLUTION: This power unit 10 has pulsating voltage E1 inputted into one side of a first inductor N1 and outputs a DC voltage E2 from the other end. Then, it is equipped with the second inductor N2 which is magnetically coupled with the first inductor N1 and a switch SW2 which switches on or switches off the current application to the second inductor N2. The unit generates induced power in the first inductor N1 so that power supply may be performed for its output side by driving the switch SW2 in a phase where the pulsating voltage E1 drops thereby letting a current flow to the second inductor N2.
