<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal identification device obtaining a best-contrast fingerprint image to perform personal identification, even if thickness or shape of a finger in each individual differs. <P>SOLUTION: This personal identification device has: a plurality of light sources 31-33 each for irradiating a fingerprint of the finger 1 with transmission light having a different irradiation angle; finger support parts 2A, 2B supporting the fingerprint surface of the finger 1 in a non-contact state; an imaging part 4 imaging the light from the plurality of light sources having the different irradiation angles, transmitted through the fingerprint of the finger 1 supported by the finger support parts to obtain a plurality of fingerprint images corresponding to the fingerprint; and a signal processing part 5 image-processing the plurality of fingerprint images from the imaging part 4, and selecting the bet-contrast fingerprint image to perform the personal identification. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
