PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axle box supporting device for a railroad vehicle, and a truck for the railroad vehicle capable of enhancing the passing performance of a curved section by reducing the axle box supporting rigidity in the longitudinal direction while suppressing degradation of the lifetime of a rubber bush. SOLUTION: In the axle box supporting device for the railroad vehicle, an axle box 2 is supported by a truck frame 1 with one link 11. Both sides of the link 11 are coupled with the axle box 2 or the truck frame 1 via rubber bushes 12a, 12b having different rigidity in the longitudinal direction.
