HEAD REST DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head rest device capable of restraining the generation of radio noise by an electrostatic capacity detection circuit to detect a head part by using an electrostatic capacity sensor. SOLUTION: This head rest device 10 is furnished with a CPU 21 to control a motor so as to move a head rest front part in the totally opening position direction in detecting approaching to a vehicle from the rear in accordance with a detection signal from an approach determining part 18 and to stop movement of the head rest front part to the totally opening position direction in detecting approaching of the head part of the occupant in accordance with the detection signal input from the electrostatic capacity detection circuit 25. The CPU 21 starts the electrostatic capacity detection circuit 25 only when the head rest front part moves in the totally opening position direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
