<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide jelly confectionery having viscoelasticity, softness and palate feeling excellent in firmness: and to provide a method for producing the jelly confectionery. <P>SOLUTION: The jelly confectionery comprises a combination of a block gelatinous material containing a polysaccharide thickener consisting mainly of only carrageenan or both of carrageenan and agar, and a block gummy candy containing gelatin. The method for producing the jelly confectionery comprises the following process: charging heated dissolved material containing the polysaccharide thickener having almost the same Brix value (sugar content) as that of jelly confectionery as a final product in a molding container larger than the final product; charging heated dissolved material containing gelatin having almost the same Brix value as that of the jelly confectionery as a final product onto the charged filling; leaving the material at rest to be coagulated followed by taking out the coagulated material from the molding container; and cutting the material into the size of the final product. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
