<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the automatic dimming control method of a display device using an optical film. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic dimming control part having a low-reflectivity optical film and a high-reflectivity optical film brought into close contact with both faces of a transparent support medium is constituted on one side of a transmissive liquid crystal panel provided with a backlight, and dimming control of both external light and backlight light of the transmissive liquid crystal panel is performed instantaneously per pixel by the automatic dimming control part in accordance with changes of external light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
