PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of unifying the concentration of an electrolyte, which allows successful electrodeposition of a metal on a cathode plate positioned at the upper layer part of the electrolyte by improving reduction in concentration of metallic ions in the vicinity of the upper layer part of the electrolyte in the liquid feed side which occurs by the liquid feeding from the lower part to an electrolytic cell, and to provide the electrolytic cell. SOLUTION: The method of unifying the concentration of the electrolyte is carried out by feeding the electrolyte 3 to each of the upper layer part and the lower layer part of the electrolyte 3 from one end side 10 of the electrolytic cell in the longitudinal direction and discharging the liquid from the liquid surface upper layer part in the vicinity of another end part 12. The electrolytic cell 1 is provided with a liquid feed means 20 arranged at one end 10 side in the longitudinal direction to feed the electrolyte 3 to each of the upper layer part and the lower layer part and a liquid discharge means 30 arranged at an end part side of the electrolytic cell which is opposed to the side where the liquid feed means 20 is provided.
