PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method in which fixation is performed at sufficient fixing strength and the occurrence of an offset phenomenon and the like is suppressed even if the fixation is performed at a low fixing temperature by a fixing device of an external heating system and the occurrence of a belt-like or stripe-like image defect is suppressed in the fixed image to be formed, and as a result thereof, the satisfactory fixed image can be obtained. SOLUTION: The image forming method fixes a toner image formed on an image support by bringing the toner image into contact with a heat fixing member of the fixing device, in which the toner to be used contains a releasing agent; the melting point of the releasing agent is 60 to 100°C, and the kinetic viscosity of the releasing agent is 4 to 20 mm<SP>2</SP>/s.
