<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card issuing system capable of issuing an IC card at high speed even if the IC card is implemented with a virtual machine. <P>SOLUTION: An IC card 1 is implemented with a virtual machine 10 and has a plurality of issuing commands (three in this case), i.e., exclusive commands for issuance. Using the commands operated by instructions interpreted and executed by the virtual machine 10, an IC card issuer 3 stores a memory map that is formed in an EEPROM when the IC card 1 is issued, and combines the issuing commands of the IC card 1 to write the content of the memory map in the EEPROM of the IC card 1. Since the issuing commands are operated by a machine language without being interpreted and executed by the virtual machine 10, the virtual machine 10 does not operate at issuance. Thus, the time required for the virtual machine 10 to operate can be reduced and the time to issue the IC card 1 can be shortened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
