PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform machining of a spectacle lens with high dimensional accuracy while saving labor. SOLUTION: A machining device for a rim of a spectacle lens is equipped with a finish machining calculation means for calculating a finish machining data for the spectacle lens LE based on the lens shape data to be input. When the rim of the spectacle lens LE held on lens rotating shafts 111R, 111L is machined with a machining tool 151, the finish machining is performed with a finishing tool based on a finish machining data after the rim of the spectacle lens LE is roughly machined with a rough grinding wheel while supplying cooling water from a cooling water supply means. The machining device for the rim of the spectacle lens is equipped with a temperature detection means 180 for detecting the temperature of the cooling water supplied by the cooling water supply means and a correction means for correcting the finish machining data based on the detected temperature. The correction means sets a correction amount for correcting the finish machining data based on a lens material. The correction means sets the correction value correcting the finish machining data based on the lens material.
