In a radio communication system comprising a source device (1) and a sink device (2) for transmitting/receiving a CEC message defined in the HDMI standard, a CEC controller (14) of the source device (1) generates and outputs a CEC frame containing the CEC message. A controller (10) generates a radio data packet containing the CEC message in the generated CEC frame. A radio transmitting/receiving circuit (15) radio-transmits a radio signal including the generated radio data packet to the sink device (2) and receives, in response to the radio data packet in the radio signal radio-transmitted, a radio signal including a radio ACK packet radio-transmitted from the sink device (2).
